Leather Charm Bracelets for Women

allyouaprilThis post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and All You Magazine, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #lifeforless .

I don’t know about you, friends, but one of my favorite ways to relax is to sit with my drink of choice and read a magazine. I particularly love reading magazines that inspire me to create my next project, like the April issue of All You Magazine did.

There are a ton of great tips, recipes, and projects inside, including the super cute little egg chicks you see on the front cover, but what caught my eye first was the section about beauty and fashion. There was a feature on Personalized Jewelry and one piece they showed was this leather wrap charm bracelet from Spartina 449.

spartina2As the caption pointed out, the leather is such a fun and fresh twist on the standard charm bracelet. My first thought when I saw it was, “oooh, I want one!” Which was followed quickly by my second thought, “oooh, I bet I could make one!”

TIME REQUIRED: 10-15 minutes
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: easy, beginner
SPECIAL TOOLS: needle nose pliers
SPECIAL SKILLS: none

Fortunately for me, I already had all the supplies on hand that I needed, so I made it that same day. Ah, the perks of being an artsy mama who recently got a shipment from my friends at Goody Beads. If you don’t have the materials, though, they’re easy to order and you can have your own leather wrap charm bracelet in no time!

Leather Charm BraceletMaterials:
- 5 mm leather, 16″ strip
- Clasp for flat leather, 10 mm
- Bar Slider for 10 mm flat leather
- jewelry glue
- small jump rings and one large jump ring
- assorted charms
- needle nose pliers
- scissors

Step 1: Cut your leather. Measure your wrist to see how long your bracelet needs to be to fit you comfortably, then cut your leather into two pieces of that length.

Step 2: Apply jewelry glue to the end of each strip and place the strips inside one piece of your clasp.

Step 3: Slide the bar slider onto both pieces of leather from the end that doesn’t have a clasp yet. Be sure not to skip this step or you’ll end up with nowhere to hook your charms.

Step 4: Re-measure and glue the other piece of your clasp in place. Depending on the size of your clasp and how much space it takes up, you may want to trim your leather a bit more. Play around with it to get it comfortable, then when you’re ready, glue the leather in place inside the clasp.

Our 25th: Love my Man! # 5

2009-02-27 14:41:55 by the-Black-Widow

I dressed up for dinner. Corset held my breasts up nice & firm under a tight black sweater, unbuttoned a bit too far so nice, tight & deep cleavage. Wore necklaces to draw eye to my canyon, my big diamond ring that flashed so it was known I was my Man's, bracelets with black widow charms hanging from them to make noise to turn heads, nice tight jeans, and heeled black shoes that make you wonder if it's a boot. Heels high enough my thighs work my ass in a nice rhythmic strut. My cologne? Odd to some, but AXE for men! Why? I love to smell it and it makes me hot, men luv to wear it, I make my man hot, my Man luvs to 'wear' me
